Wilda Nell (Gray) Seats, 92 years young, departed this world peacefully on Friday, August 17, 2018 at her home in Jonesboro. She grew up during the Depression and worked at picking fruit and picking cotton. She babysat and worked in a country store before going to work at the Wolverine Shoe factory in Jonesboro for ten years.

After her years at the shoe factory, she went into foster parenting. She was a foster parent of over 200 children. She served as President of the Arkansas Foster Parents Association for three years. She never saw a child she didn't love.

Wilda was a member of First Church of Nazarene in Jonesboro where she was active in children's ministry. She was an avid crocheter and was a maker of beautiful quilts. Her father was a minister and also taught music. Wilda learned to sing at an early age. She had a beautiful soprano voice and it will be missed, but we know that she is singing now in that heavenly choir.

Mrs. Seats was preceded in death by her parents, James and Minnie Gray; her husband, Lee Seats; one son, Randy Robinson; a daughter, Barbara West; five brothers, Roy, Troy, Griffin, Delmar and Wiley Gray; and five sisters, Pansy Gray, Joy Leer, Dorothy Belcher, Finis Clark and Sue Cech.

She was lovingly taken care of by Ryan Wright and Beck Wright in her last years.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Wright of Forrest City, AR and Donna Ashcraft of Jacksonville, NC; 20 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Naomi Seats of Jonesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday August 19th at Sweet Moments Cemetery near Goobertown, AR with Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

No visitation is scheduled.
