Arvil Tucker, 92, of Mt. Vernon, AR passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018. He was born May 22, 1925 in Gassville, AR to the late Hiram and Rena (Lamb) Tucker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis Tucker, brothers, Grady, Rex and Leon and sisters, Inez, Velma, Bertha.

Arvil was a member of the Whiteville Baptist Church and a mason for 65 years and a 32nd degree Scottish rite mason. He was also a charter member of Boilermakers Local 69. Arvil enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Arvil is survived by his children, John Tucker, Mark Tucker (Debbie) and Kathryn Davis; grandchildren, Tracy Davis, Tiffany Patrom, Ande Sumler, Tommy Tucker, Terra Patrom, Amanda Tucker, Samantha Tucker, Steven Tucker, and Carla Stephens; 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, siblings, Ima McKee, David Tucker (Shirley), and Hiram Tucker; and sister-in-law Bonnie Tucker.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with visitation one hour prior, interment to follow at Whiteville Cemetery in Gassville, AR.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider donating to the Arvil Tucker Memorial Scholarship Fund at any branch of Regions Bank. This fund will be used to assist youth in the Mt. Vernon area pursue their dreams.

Arvil leaves behind not only family but many many friends and coworkers with so many wonderful memories of him .I was honored not only to be a neighbor to him and Mrs Phyllis but also to be a friend and co-worker thru our union and political work he inspired me in so many ways. Everything he did was for the better of others. He will be truly missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers are with the family this time. Arvil was a true Matriarch

We lost a good friend and brother. What impressed me so much about Arvil was anytime, anywhere that you saw him, whether at the Lodge or on the streets, he was always the same person. He was a dear brother to us all in the Masonic Lodges. My sincere condolences to his family.
