Carrie Louise (Ting) Holland, 88, of North Little Rock went to be with her Lord, Monday, November 20th from the Sherwood Nursing & Rehab Home in Sherwood, Arkansas.

The 7th of 9 children, born to Grover Cleveland and Mary Elizah (Douglas) Holland on July 29th, 1929 in Aubrey, AR.

Carrie graduated from Aubrey High School and the University of Arkansas. She taught at Henderson State Teachers College in Arkadelphia. The majority of Carrie's teaching career was at Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg, MO, (CMSU), working with Dr. Lyle B. Beaver in the Recreation Education Department. She later earned her PHD from The University of Utah.

Carrie loved to swim and taught many family and friends. She enjoyed primitive camping, until she became an official ''RVer'' after retirement, and enjoyed trips in her ''Mini Wini'' throughout the US. From depths of 121 feet below the surface in Cancun Mexico to climbing Mt. Fuji in Japan, to following in Paul's footsteps in Greece. But her most memorable trips were walking in Jesus' footsteps in Jerusalem and the train ride through the Canadian Rockies. Her church was very important to her. She served in the Kairos Prison Ministry, the board of Genesis ll, Women's Prison Ministry and worked with women in the halfway house.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Grover and Mary, sisters, Evelyn Nesbitt, Madge Hamilton, Mary Martha Buckles, & Jane St John and brothers Grover Si, David, Franklin, Ralph & many nieces and nephews
Celebration of life services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 25th at the Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, AR 72116. Officiating will be Reverend John Wedaman. Burial will be at Marianna Memorial Park Cemetery in Marianna, AR.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America (alzfdn.org).
