Margaret Hutchison Denmon, 96, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 in Clinton, Arkansas. She was born August 31, 1921, in Morganton, Arkansas to the late W.J. and Willie (Graddy) Hutchison. She graduated from Arkansas State Teacher's College and Louisiana State University. She began her 35-year elementary education and librarian science career in Helena, Arkansas, then moved to Clinton, Arkansas where she taught from 1950-1958. She retired from Vidalia, Louisiana Lower Elementary School in 1979. She was a member of the Eastern Star Damascus Chapter 515 and the Church of Christ where at age 16 she and her twin sister Marjorie were baptized in the Choctaw Creek.
Mrs. Denmon is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl; sisters and their spouses; Lela (John) Byus, Marjorie (O.M.) Fain, Jimi Dee (Jerry) Walters, nephew; John Byus III, cousins; Sharon Baker and Robert Lee Graddy.
She is survived by nieces and nephews; Kent (Nancy) Byus of Corpus Christi, Texas, Tina (Dan) Niemczyk of El Paso, Texas, Fred (Kathy) Byus of Alexandria, Virginia, Elizabeth Ann (Mike) Kirk of Little Rock, Arkansas, Leslie (Randy) McNutt, of Westfield, Indiana, Donn (Lisa) Walters of Maumelle, Arkansas, and James (Janice) Walters of Benton, Arkansas, and their families. She is also survived by many cousins, family friends, and many students.
Visitation will be from 3:00 '''' 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Bee Branch Cemetery with Pastor Hal Baker officiating.

So sorry for your loss. "Miss Margaret" was my favorite teacher. When the schools were consolidated, and I had to leave the school at Choctaw and go to the "big" school at Clinton, I was scared to death, but Miss Margaret took me under her wing and made the move a lot less stressful. I'll always be grateful for her compassion. The last time I saw her was in June of 2008, and we had a wonderful visit. I think of her often and will love her forever.
