Anna B. Odegard, 88 of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018. She was born June 26, 1929 to Ralph Wyck and Nellie Redus (Caststeel) Perry "across the river" in Advance, Arkansas.
Anna married Ralph ''Ode'' Odegard in Kansas City, Missouri on November 7, 1947. They were married for 39 years until his passing in 1986. She loved spending time outdoors fishing or gardening and excelled at both. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. Anna was known for her excellent cooking and her strong spirit. Nothing brought Anna more joy than having her entire family together under the same roof. There was seldom a birthday or anniversary that went by without a family get-together to celebrate.
Anna is survived by three sons: Ron (Sandy) Odegard, Reggie (Merilee) Odegard, and Ted Odegard all of Mountain Home; one daughter, Julie (Jody) Dykes of Mountain Home; ten grandchildren: Sarah (Jon) Taylor, Eric (Kristal) Odegard, Josh, Andy, Jessica, and Seth Odegard, Timothy (Mona) Odegard, Tabetha (Kenneth) Riggins, Abbie Tanner, and Samantha (Cory) McMahon, and ten beloved great grandchildren: Edward, Emma, Kirstyn, Kaytlyn, Zoey, Hayden, Leiland, Hunter, Ethan and Jude. She is also survived by a host of family and friends.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brother Norman, an infant son, and daughter-in-law, Terrie Anita Odegard of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
A visitation will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 from 6-8 pm in the Roller Chapel. Memorial service will be held at 12 pm Saturday, March 17, 2018 in the Roller Chapel with Jeff Quick officiating. Memorials may be made to the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas. Interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. WE are so sorry to her of Anna's passing. I did work for her when i was in business in Mountain Home and one of our daughters attended school with one of her sons. She was a very nice lady. Our prayers are with you at this time of loss.
