To Laura and your siblings and family: So very grieved to read of your mother's passing. Even though I didn't know your mother, the pictures here show a beautiful happy woman and mother and grandmother. What a blessing she must have been to you all. What wonderful photos you have of her and all your family to reminisce and cherish.
With kindest regards and love,
Christie Jones Tallant
So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4
(3) "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. (4)
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".
I am sorry to hear about Dorothy's death. She was one of my many cousins in the Dayer family. My mother Rose Dayer Daugherty was her aunt.
Dorothy was part of the planning for the Swiss family reunion we had in 1986. I was able to get to know her then. Dorothy was a beautiful lady, and I am sorry that you have lost your mother, grandmother and friend.
God Bless you,
Sarah (Daugherty) Thornton.
Christmas hor’s devours, Midnight Mass, velvet blazers, Razorback football games, shopping, travel plans, love ...
So sorry to see this today. Dorothy was a very special lady and friend to me. I will always remember her with love.
You all are in my thoughts & prayers.

Lois and I were so sorry to hear of Dot Dot’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Reading Rev. 21:3, 4 and John 5:25 have always brought me comfort, and hopefully will do the same for you.
Dorthy was as pretty inside as out, always smiling, friendly to everyone. She enjoyed life & people, she was a joy to work for and travel with. I have many fond memories with her. She loved her kids & grands so much , I enjoyed hearing the latest news about them when they were very young. She was loved by all who knew her.
I didn’t get to know Dorothy well until the big Swiss celebration in the late 80’s. I had always admired her beauty from afar, as she was one generation removed from me, even though we were first cousins. Little did I know how funny, intelligent and gracious she was. We took a trip to Chicago once after that. She was a blast to be with and I always remember her with love. I am so sorry for your loss, for everyone’s loss, of this sweet, vivacious woman.
Laura, Mike, Jr. & kids; so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She & your Dad were two of my favorite customers.
They were a very lovely couple & a whole lot of fun to visit with & work for, I miss your Dad immensely & now you Mom.
I believe it was 2 -3 years ago I went by to see her & just stay a minute. We as usual had a wonderful visit.
You kids are very wealthy to have grown up with 2 parents, especially Mike, Sr. & Mrs. Dorothy. I now know why you girls are so gorgeous, your Mom was, in every way.
They are one couple I never, ever heard a negative word spoken about, again, another blessing. To your kids & grand kids, you too have been well blessed in your ancestry.
We too grieve with you in your loss; at the same time we also celebrate the memory & blessings of having privilege of calling Mike & Dorothy Hartje....."Friends". Peace be with you & extra comfort the next few weeks ofthe grieving process.
