Aunt Rose was sweet and soft spoken.
She was a good listener and I remember her as quiet but often laughing. She was a great cook. She liked her home and her collie. She loved her husband and her children and grandchildren with all of her heart. She nurtured her family with joy. She worked with her husband in their restaurant and resort businesses. I was glad to know her as my aunt. I am so sorry for all that you have been through and for your loss of your mom and grandmother. What wonderful memories she has given to you though.

Karen and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother. She has such a sweet soul. I watched your memorial video and it was beautiful. She still looks like she did when our family moved to Oakland in the early '70's. I pray peace for you and your brothers and your families.

Don't think I ever met Mrs. Hancock, but based on Norm, Chuck and Karen, she had to have been a very good mother.

Mom, (Rose) You were such a loving and caring person and mother.... You were loved by many. Our ( chuck, Karen, norm's ) friends were always welcome at our home. A lot of the time, you and dad didn't even know who was there and not, lol... Some times our driveway / yard, looked like a used car dealership, lol... They all knew they were welcome to stop and get a bite to eat or sleep, even if any of us kids weren't even home, lol... Many remember your fried fish, the best ever and potato salad. You always had something home made for dessert hanging around. You were the hardest working women I have ever known... Working the resort and taking care of a family of husband and 3 kids was a lot... Always having a clean house, laundry for resort and us done... When I think back, mom hardly ever sat down. She was in the kitchen, cleaning cabins, doing laundry, cleaning house, etc..... I could never do what she did.... no way! Most of us couldn't... I Will Miss You So Much, I Love You With All My Heart... Now you and dad and your kin folk are together again, waiting for the rest of us.... We had your window open last night, so your soul could leave this sick body and go to paradise.... Till We Meet Again, xoxoxox, I know you and dad are dancing once again..... xoxooxox

It is with a heavy heart, we pray for the eternal repose of one who was a woman of distinguished humanity. In moments of loss, words are actually useless as they cannot describe what we are feeling. Aunt Rose, a beautiful soul, full of love and faith, you ascended to heaven away from us, but now you are closer to Uncle Charlie and are reuniting with him. God rest your soul.
To the Hancock family, we offer you our thoughts, prayers and well-wishes during this dark time in your life.
