Mary Imogene Gambill of Brookland passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould at the age of 89. She was born September 28, 1927 in Brookland to Floyd and Nova Williams Byrd. Imogene was of the Methodist belief, loved singing in church, cooking, gardening and most of all, her family. She was a homemaker.
Imogene is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Gambill; a daughter, Judy Gambill Smith; three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her son, David Gambill; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Murphy) Smith; Joseph Smith, William Jacob Smith and David Todd Gambill; and seven great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1 pm Wednesday at Pine Log Cemetery with Chad White officiating.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Tuesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.

Prayers to all. William and Imogene were almost second parents to me while growing up in Brookland. I always thought she was beautiful, kind and just the best person.
I've thought foundly of her over the years. She will be greatly missed. My prayers are for her and William and Judy to be reunited at last.
I loved them all.
