Helen Mae Gregory, age 91, of Omaha, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, in Springfield, Missouri. She was born July 31, 1926, the daughter of Harry D. and Florence (Dalton) Latson. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters.

Helen retired from Duncan Industries. She enjoyed oil painting and created many masterpieces that are hung in offices, a museum, and homes of family and friends. She also was a gardener and her yard was abloom with flowers in the spring for her hummingbirds to feed on.

Helen leaves behind her son, Larry (Shelley) Spain, of LaMirada, California; her daughter, Linda (Larry) Lasswell, of Springfield, Missouri; her grandchildren, James Gilbert, Lisa Adkins, Stacy Limppo, Christopher Lasswell, Joel Bomgaars and Scott Bomgaars. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was very close to her niece and nephew, Kathy Matlock and Stephen Gray.


Funeral service was 11:00 AM, Friday, March 23, 2018, at Roller- Christeson in Harrison, with Dwight Crowley officiating. Visitation was 1 hour prior to the service.

Interment was at Gass Cemetery.

Helen was always such a fun Lady to be around. Lou, so sorry I cannot be at her service, I am out of town next week. Praying for your family during this difficult time.
