Mr. A. L. Stracener, 96 was born to Alexander and Lula Mae Cohorn Stracener on October 16, 1920 in Romance, Arkansas and died on July 31, 2017 in Searcy, Arkansas.

He was a member of the South Heights Church of God, where he served as an usher. He loved working in his vegetable garden and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, six sisters, and two great-great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Gleetis Barnett Stracener, a daughter, Glenda Dortch (Jerry) of Searcy, three grandchildren, Kimberly Atwell (Mike), Shona Foote (Mike), Ty Pipkins (Jamie), eight great-grandchildren, Haley, Turner, Brittany, Ashlyn, Michaela, Hannah, Sarah, Jonathan, five great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Lorene Barnett, Christine Barnett and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services at 2 PM on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at South Heights Church of God. Interment will follow at White County Memorial Gardens.

I feel so blessed to have known Mr. Stracener. He always had such a sweet smile on his face each time I saw him and Mrs Stracener. I send my prayers of comfort to Mrs, Gleetis, Glenda and family in their time of loss. He will always be in our hearts.

I remember going to church at Gravel Hill with Bro AL and Gleetis with my grandpa Clovis Moss. Lots of great memories. Sorry to hear about this. Praying for your family.
