Martin Edward Wood, age 91, of Caldwell, Arkansas passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Wood was born February 6, 1927 in Osceola, Arkansas to the late Acie and Mabel Wood. He was a member of Caldwell Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and he worked as a farmer.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Alice McGregor Wood and two sons, Donnie Wood of Caldwell and Ron Wood of Nashville, Tennessee.

Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Sean Michael Wood.

A service for Martin Wood will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Caldwell Baptist Church with Brother Larry Haynes and Brother Sam Hicks officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at the church. In addition, there will be a visitation held Tuesday, April 10 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will be at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City.

Pallbearers are Ronnie Pankey, Kenny Holt, L.K. Holt, Jeff Womack, Bernard Evans and Mike Devazier. W.L. Devazier will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Pat Kirbey, who was a loving caregiver to Mr. Wood for 11 years.
