Jean Story Graham

September 30, 1931 - January 18, 2018

Jean Story Graham, 86, of North Little Rock died Thursday, January 18, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 30, 1931 to the late James Brian and Ola Banks Story on Culpepper Mountain, Arkansas. Jean is also preceded in death by brother, Rex Story and sister-in-law, Kaye Story.

Jean married Lyn Graham on December 24, 1950 and has reared two children in their 67 years of marriage. While Jean worked she took night classes at Draughon's Practical Business College in Little Rock to earn a Legal Secretary Certificate. As a legal secretary, she was known for the detail she put into each document that she typed, rarely missing a punctuation and for her strong work ethic. Her co-workers at times lamented that she made them all look bad, rarely missing work. Jean was a member of Levy Church of Christ for 61 years and volunteered in the church office for 25 years.

Jean is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lyn Graham; son, Jeff Graham (Betty) of Little Rock; daughter, Julie Graham Watson (Brad) of North Little Rock; grandchildren: Jeremy Watson, Graham Watson, Christopher Watson, Amy Graham, and Lynn Graham Darnell (Noah); two brothers, James Story (Sammie), Roy Story; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, January 22, 2018 at Levy Church of Christ, 5124 Camp Robinson Road, North Little Rock, AR 72118. Burial to follow at 2:00 PM at Blackwell Cemetery in Bee Branch. Visitation will be one-hour prior to funeral. Arrangements under the direction of Roller-Owens Funeral Home.

Worked with Jean in Attorney General Tom Gentry's office.
Received my license to practice law in 1950 and practiced law
and served as an Administrative Law Judge until my retirement
in 2001. Jean was kind/considerate and one of the m,ost efficient
legal secretaries--if not the most efficient--it has been my good fortune to know during that time. Will keep her family/friends in my prayers during these difficult days.
