Vicky Lynn Meriweather Adkins, age 68, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018. She was born to Cliff and Winnie Meriweather on February 2, 1940 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Vicky was an amazing, compassionate woman, who loved and cared for others. She is fondly remembered as a woman who loved all living creatures, adopting many pets over the years and most recently, she and her wife enjoying their time as foster care parents to children in need of a safe and loving environment. She served faithfully for 20+ years as a Special Education Teacher in the Pulaski County Special School District for North Pulaski High School and Northwood Junior High School. Vicky married the love of her life, Jackie in 2012 and together they enjoyed their retirement years, being foster parents and filling their home with love and laughter. Vicky and Jackie were active members of Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church in Little Rock. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Vicky wished to let people know ''they were loved by God, that she loved her boys and her grandchildren, that she was one in spirit and love with Jackie Campbell, she believed that people should be kind to one another. And her greatest wish was that her sons would be friends.''

Vicky was a beautiful and caring soul. I knew her at Ouachita along with Sam and celebrated from a distance the births of their kids. My very best to Matthew, Michael and Samuel--your Mom was one of the best!
While I did not personally know Vicky, I know her children (Matthew and Michael) from when I was at University. I could tell from them then that she was an amazing person. Matthew is easily one of my best friends, and I wanted write something to send my sympathies to Matthew, his family, and all that were touched by Vicky.
I'm so sorry to hear of Vicky’s passing. Loosing a loved one is never easy. I lost my dad in 2010, and my mom in 2012. After my losses, reading Revelation 21:3,4 gave me real comfort. It says: And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. I hope reading these verses also give you comfort during this difficult time. GW
I have been privileged to be friends/family with Vicky and Jackie for over 30 years and I love them both dearly. I knew I could always count on them no matter what. My heart aches for Jackie and Vicky's family during their loss. May God wrap his arms around each of you during your grieving.
I remember Vicky as a very sweet person. So sorry to hear about her passing.
Prayers for Vicky’s family!
Vicky was a lovely person with such a quiet spirit! She and Jackie were always willing to help people. We will always remember the Easter lunches we had at their house. Our prayers are with Jackie and the family during this time of loss.
