Ernest (Doc) Henderson, 82 of Mountain View, AR passed away January 24, 2018 at Hospice House in Mountain Home, AR. Doc was born December 20, 1935 to Floyd Henderson and Dellar (Johnson) Henderson in Mountain View, AR.

Doc was a husband to Jenina for 60 years and a great dad to his four sons. He loved spending time with his five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was a retired truck driver , accident free all through the years. He also was known for his ability to buy & sell. He loved his gospel music, trips to Branson, selling Pecans on the corner and driving trips for Chevrolet. He was a member of the First Assembly of God church in Mountain View for over 40 years and was always faithful and dedicated to the dome church.

Doc is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jenina Henderson, one brother Paul (Kay) Henderson of Canyon Country, CA, four sons, Tim (Jami) Henderson, Louisburg, KS, Gary (Donata) Henderson, Louisburg, KS, Kevin (Dana) Henderson, Mountain Home, AR, Scott (Michelle, friend) Henderson, Overland Park, KS. As well as five grandchildren, Jessica (Lane Town), Cheyenne, Austin, Delaney & Easton all of Louisburg, KS and two great grandchildren, Liam & Layton and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Henderson and Dellar (Johnson) Henderson and four brothers, Floyd Henderson, John Henderson, Sam Henderson, Carl Henderson, four sisters, Bertie (Henderson) Trotter, Bobbie (Henderson) Lancaster Haney, Pearl (Henderson) Tombasco, Inez (Henderson) Poling.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 PM at First Assembly of God Church (Dome) in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2018, 1:00 PM at First Assembly of God Church (Dome) with Rev. Bobby Ragan and Rev. David Campbell officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Levisy Flat Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Stacy Buchannan, Lance Buchannan, Larry Poling, Mike Poling, Lane Town, and Jimmy Jo Masters. Honorary pallbearers are Benny Stevens, Lawson Carroll, Rick Wilkins, Dwight Passmore, Don Powell, and Mike Brooks.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

Doc had such a good heart and I know he loved the Lord. I know I will see him again when our messiah returns. So he is only gone temporarily.

We are all very sad at the passing of Doc we always enjoyed their visits to our hood and buying his pecans. He will truly be missed as he was definitely one of a kind. Love you all and praying for peace and comfort for you all.
