Kathleen (Douglas) Mitchell, 69, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at her home in Mountain View, Arkansas. Kathleen was born on February 20, 1948 in Browning, Montana to the late Harold H. and June (Gobert) Douglas. Kathleen worked as an International Freight Agent for many years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. Kathleen was a kind, funny, caring person who will be greatly missed by all of her loving friends and family.
Kathleen is survived by her two daughters, Abbie Knight and husband Billy of Watauga, Texas; Heather Futch and husband Andy of Conyers, Georgia; brother, Harold ''Rock'' Douglas of Mountain View, Arkansas; sisters, Linda Mercurio and husband Dave of Gardnerville, Nevada and Marshaline Wormersly and husband James of Illinois; grandchildren, Paige Knight, Mikalah Knight, Elizabeth Futch, and Malachi Futch; stepchildren, Sheri Zajac and John of Ohio, and Gary Mitchell of Ohio; step-grandchildren, Nicole Mitchell, Jonathon Cooper and Jeff Cooper, along with many extended family and friends; as well as her furry children, Peanut and Dolly.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Harold H. and June (Gobert) Douglas; beloved husband of 32 years, Ed Mitchell; sister, Anna Douglas; brother, Dale Douglas, and stepdaughter, Sue Cooper.
A rosary and prayer will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017, beginning at 10:30AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. A memorial mass will follow the rosary beginning at 11:00AM; Father Norbert will be officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Mary's Columbarium following the mass. Kathleen will be inurned near her beloved husband.
