Vernita Lee Fitzwater, age 91 of Tilly, Arkansas passed from this life on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 at Russellville Nursing Center in Russellville, Arkansas. She was born in Foster, Oklahoma on May 21st, 1926 to George Washington Lee and Mary Magdalene Williams Lee.

Nita spent her working years at Sylvania Electric Company, manufacturing television tubes, as a mail carrier for the USPS and she was a very successful saleslady for the Tupperware Corporation for several years. Nita enjoyed being outdoors. She was a very adventurous lady and took flying lessons in her youth and often flew with her son Bob. Her adventurous spirit carried over into later years and gave Nita a passion for traveling and driving. She had a great sense of humor and always had those around her laughing and having a good time whether playing dominos, ''Shoot the Moon'' or visiting with her friends and family. Nita's home always had an open door and was available for all who needed a helping hand. She loved her family dearly and was a very precious mother and grandmother whose strong presence will be missed by those closest to her.

Survivors include her children, Robert Brinsfield and wife Wanda of London, AR, James Brinsfield and wife Joyce of Seminole, OK, Tom Brinsfield and wife Betty of Yukon, OK, Carmalee Keet Pack of Tilly, AR and Peggy Kelleher of CA; grandchildren, Anita Rackley of Hector, Jimmy Brinsfield of Seminole, OK, Lori Brinsfield of Seminole, OK, Serena (Jim Ed) Ray of Wetumka, OK, Johnny (Bernadette Gabucan) Brinsfield of Landstuhl, Germany, Ronnie Brinsfield of Yukon, OK and Colton Pack of Conway; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Natasha, Shelby, Wyatt, Jazmyne, Cyndal, Michael, James, Phillip, Jackson and Wyatt; one great-great grandchild, Ava; one sister, Naomi Houck Robinson of Seminole, OK; a very special friend, Connie Warren of Tilly; and a wonderful caregiver, Carol Brown, also of Tilly.

Nita is preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild, Robert Brinsfield II; one great-grandchild, Kalli Brinsfield; and siblings, Thelma Grant, Elizabeth Jackson, Bulah Stanley and Belah Lee.

Funeral services for Nita will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 6th, 2017 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. David Owens officiating. Special music will be performed by David and his wife Lisa. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery near Tilly, Arkansas.
