Willene Weaver, age 92 of Marshall, Arkansas went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 1st, 2017 at Conway Regional Health System under Kindred Hospice Care in Conway, Arkansas. She was born on December 9th, 1924 to Emery Potter and Wilbrey May Ray Potter at the end of the Dinky Railroad in Searcy County, Arkansas where her dad worked as the blacksmith.

Willene spent her childhood in the Welcome Home area, moving to California with her family after her mom passed away. There she met a Searcy County boy named Rex Weaver and they were married on November 12th, 1943. They returned to Searcy County in 1955, where they farmed and raised beef cattle. Willene was a wonderful seamstress and sewed beautiful dresses for her daughter when she was growing up. She enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking and sharing her recipes with her granddaughters, gardening, quilting and playing Skip-Bo with her friends. Willene was a charter member of the Witts Springs Community Bible Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rex Weaver; parents, Emery and Wilbrey Potter; sisters, Hollene Lewis and Evelyn Shoemaker; and brothers, Paul Potter and Ray Potter.

Survivors include one daughter, Gwenda (Omage) Bolen of Marshall; sons, Ronald (Linda) Weaver of Rogers and Doug (Nancy) Weaver of Witts Springs; grandchildren, Mike Bolen, Ronda and Mike Robin, Trentcy and Scott Peaks, Carie and Sam Means, Amanda and Stephen Shirley, Cristie Turner, Joshua and Rachel Weaver; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister, Drucy Pauls of Colorado; brother, Steven Potter of California; sisters-in-law, June Potter of Arkansas and Lorella Potter of California; brother-in-law, Doyle Weaver of Witts Springs; and many nephews, nieces, church family, neighbors and friends who will also mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Willene will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 5th, 2017 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Eddie Ragsdale and Bro. Jim Arnold Jr. officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be in McDaniel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Bolen, Mike Robin, Scott Peaks, Sam Means, Stephen Shirley and Joshua Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Doyle Weaver, Ronda Robin, Trentcy Peaks, Carie Means, Amanda Shirley and Cristie Turner.

The family would like to give a special thank you to her friends at Heritage Place Apartments, especially Vernon, Jackie, Linda, Eldon and Nellie; her caregivers and Skip-Bo partners for the last five years, Pauline Harmon, Merlene Freeman and Regina Ragland; the Highland Court nursing staff and her friends there, Madalene, Betty, Berlene, Hilda, Juanita and others; and the nurses and hospice staff at Conway Regional.
