O'Meara Faye (McIntosh) Girod, age 77 of Leslie, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, May 2nd, 2016 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on November 12th, 1938 in McArthur, Arkansas to John R. and Cora E. (Osborne) McIntosh.
Faye Girod was a very special person. She taught many lessons and shared many things. She touched many lives and they knew she really cared. Faye had a caring touch and gave comforting words. She gave all she could and always looked for the good. She had many struggles and despairs but her strong will always prevailed. This woman I speak of, that was all of this, was not just a mother, she is our mom.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doc Girod; son, Don Girod; three brothers; and six sisters.
Survivors include one sister, Gaye Dill; her children, DeWayne Girod and wife Kathy, Sonya Wilson and husband Lonnie and Rhonda McMahan and husband Mike; daughter-in-law, Sandra Girod; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and family.
Funeral services for Faye will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 6th, 2016 at Leslie First Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Ashley officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Thursday, May 5th, 2016 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas. Burial will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Leslie, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Kevin Overholt, Brandon Housley, Mike Treat, Keith Ragland, Butch Ashton and Donald Flowers.

Ma was the best mother in law a girl could ever have. I'm so glad I got to visit with her on Easter. I will forever be grateful for all the love she gave to me. I miss you Ma and love you with all my heart.
Lots of good memories of her singing and me playing piano for her.....been a long time but I know she is singing her heart out in God's heavenly choir today. God will fill your hearts with precious memories.
My heart is so sad to hear of Ms. Faye's passing. The family will be in our thoughts and prayers. God will see you thru this hard time and the days ahead. Love to all.
