In reading all the tributes to Charlie, there doesn't seem much to say that hasn't already been said. Evidently Charlie had friends all over the world, but that is not surprising....he befriended everyone he met....and if you were a stranger when you met him, you were a friend when you left. Charlie had a way with words....and when I worked with him, I typed a few of his 'adventures' for him.....needless to say, I was usually laughing the whole time I was typing. Jeannie, I am SO GLAD that Charlie had you in his last years of his life......he loved you so much and it was so evident anytime he mentioned you in one of his FB posts. God Bless you for taking such good care of him. I know he is watching over all of us left here on earth, just waiting to ride with us again......May God grant you Peace.

It doesn't surprise me at all that Charly had connections all over the world. I knew him since we were just kids and he was always interesting, out of the box and a really good person. I know he will be missed by everyone who crossed paths with him. Go in peace and suffer no more.

So very sorry for your loss Jeannie. It was obvious that you and Charlie loved each other very much. It was a short dance for you and Charlie but one filled with a great love for each other. What a blessing for both of you. I feel blessed to have been with you and Charlie on several occasions to witness such love. You are in my thoughts and prayers as well as all the extended family. Love, June Gilbreath

Charlie was a wonderful man with a big heart. I am honoured to have known him and loved him and called him my friend since 1996. He was a wonderful writer, and I shall miss his travel tales. He will live on in my heart and memories as he will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. And one day, we will all see him again.

He loved you so much, Jeannie. I am so happy that he finally found that elusive love he'd always hoped for with you. God bless and keep you safe until you are reunited with him again.

Charlie was a wonderful, brave soul, and I am honoured to have known him and loved him and called him "friend" since 1996. He was a fabulous writer. I will miss his travel tales, but I know his travels have not ended. I wish I could be there for the funeral, but I shall be there in spirit.

Jeannie, though we have never met or corresponded personally, please accept Jennie and my deepest sympathies on the passing of your beloved husband, and our dear friend, Charlie. We wish we could join with you to celebrate his life, and mourn his passing, but be assured, we will be there with you in spirit, and you are in our prayers. We admire your love for Charlie and your strength in joining with him and caring for him in the fight of his life. Please take comfort in knowing the intensity of his love for you, enabling him to endure his ordeal and stay on this earth with you as long as he could. We are sure he is now riding the roads of heaven, and that you are always in his heart.

To Charlie's family;
Even though I also never met Charlie, he was one of those people who "Broke the mould"!
What a shame there aren't more like him in this modern World, or, would the modern World know how to cope with another Charlie Treece.
All my sentiments have been said much more eloquently in other tributes to the great Charlie, but what I do know is that he is now riding his motorcycle in "bikers heaven, & if it's possible to kick up some dust on a highway made of clouds, then Charlie will be doing just that. RIP Charles.

Charlie, we never met face-to-face but you have been riding alongside me in spirit for nigh on twenty years. I loved to read your ride stories, and I thank you for inspiring me to write my own. Your legacy will live on, and I'll remember you on many rides yet to come. Your worth is shown by the fact that you are half a world away and yet still one of my longest-lasting friendships... ride on, brother.

My Knight in Polished Leather, my beautiful Sir Charlez, I will miss you every day of my life, and love you forever.

Wish I could be there for your beloved Lady Jeannie, and your darling little friend Lola, but as I cannot, hope the prayers, thoughts and hugs I send them afford them some comfort.

May God keep you in his loving arms unto eternity, and the twisties in heaven be at least as good as The Pig Trail.

All my love, your Victoria
