Karen Ann Hairston

of Conway, AR

April 22, 1946 - April 16, 2018

Karen Hairston, 71, of Conway, Arkansas, was called home to be with her Lord on April 16, 2018. Karen was a beloved mother, wonderful friend, and caring wife. Karen was born on April 22, 1946 in Conway, Arkansas, to the late Rubye and Shannon Cotton. Karen worked at Kimberly Clark, but her greatest joy was providing unconditional love and support to her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Larry. She is survived by three loving daughters Rhonda (Marty) Nolan of Conway, Tammy Lawrence of Maumelle, and Kristina (Jacob) Erbach of Conway; her doting grandchildren Cody Nolan of Conway and Laci (Ryan) Oates of Maumelle; and her sister Cloedean (Gary) Scroggins of Greenbrier and brother Melton (Clara) Cotton of Enola. She was dearly loved by numerous friends that will miss her bright light and thoughtful gestures.

Karen will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her light was bright and would bring comfort, kindness, and wisdom to all in its path. While we all are in mourning and feel sorrow, we will rejoice knowing that we will be reunited with her in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, April 18th at 3:00 pm at Round Mountain Cemetery on Mill Pond Road in Conway, Arkansas.

To Tammy and your sisters, Good mothers hold a special place in their hearts for their children and most children hold a special place in their hearts for their mothers. I’m sorry for the hole that you have now. I would like to express my sorrow and condolences to you and your family. During the darkest of times the best way to make it through is with prayer; I offer you prayers of hope in the midst of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain.

May the words of our loving heavenly Father bring your family comfort and strength during this most difficult time. He promises to bring our loved ones back to life in a perfect world where there will be no more suffering or death (John 5:28-29 & Revelation 21:4). May these promises bring you comfort.
