of Sherwood, AR
August 24, 1928 - January 12, 2018
Mary Rue (Grimes) Allbritton, 89, of Sherwood, passed away January 12, 2018. She was born August 24, 1928 to Seth Walter and Clara Jane (Lane) Grimes in Enola, Arkansas. She was known as "Pistol" by her brothers and sisters. In 1955 she married Frank Allbritton and was together until he passed away in 1995. Mary was a licensed Cosmetologist in 1967. She worked for Pfeiffer-Blass, then Dillard's when McCain Mall opened. She was head of several departments and retired from the China Department in 1998. She was an avid seamstress, made all the clothes she wore to work, played the piano, loved the lake, and her family meant the absolute world to her. Loved them 'HOGS', loved gospel music and was just a class act. She collected antiques to furnish her home. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, NLR, where she often-times played the piano as a young woman.
She is preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents Walter and Clara, sisters Reba Jobe and Athalene Largey; her brothers Ray Grimes, Arbie Grimes, George Grimes, and Charles Grimes.
She is survived by two sons, Russell Frank (Vicki) and Bobby Ray and daughter Clara Frances, grandson Joshua Matthew Padilla, and two great-children Hope and Bubba, brother, Jack Grimes and many other beloved family and friends.
The family would like to thank Baptist Hospital, UAMS, Amedisys, Absolute Care and each and every one that took care of our mother.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 4-6 PM at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Funeral Home with Burial following at Crestlawn Memorial Park.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. Loosing a loved one is never easy. I lost my dad in 2010, and my mom in 2012. After my losses, reading Revelation 21:3,4 gave me real comfort. It says: And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. I hope reading these verses also give you comfort during this difficult time. GW
Russ, Ray, and Fran....I have so many fond memories, of days spent at church and in your home with Mary Rue and Frank. I have No idea how they survived those days of raising not only you three, but also all of us kids that you went to church and school with! They leave a Good Legacy for us. One that each of us should follow.
So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4
(3) "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. (4)
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".
Russ, I am so sorry to hear this.......I’ve been there it is hard but you will get through it..........all my prayers for you
I haven't seen Mary in years, but remembering her puts a smile on my face. I was at Dillard's when she was in the China department. She loved her family. My sincere sympathy to you. She really was a "Pistol"! I loved that. Bless you.
Russ and Vicki, Ray, Frances:
We are saddened to hear about you losing your mother. She was a talented lady, good family friend and loving mother. We have many fond memories of her from our childhood. May God bless and comfort each of you.

Vicki and Russ, Our thoughts and prayers are with you diring this difficult time. Please accept our hearfelt condolences.
Russ and Ray
You have the thoughts of our family with you, whenever you need them. Dave, Phil and myself all thought that your Mother was a very good friend and neighbor to us as we grew up in Tanglewood with you guys. If our Mother was still with us she would be one of the first to sing high praises for knowing your Mother.
May God be with you in your time of sorrow. but know that she is sitting at the hand of the Lord.
Russ, prayers of comfort for you & your family in the loss of your mother.
