Love and prayers to Elizabeth’s family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Elizabeth was an amazing young lady. I met her when she first started working at Bob Courtway. We became friends and remained friends after we both took different paths in education and in life. I remember one of the last times we met, she was getting her nails done. I went to the nail salon just to visit with E. As we were leaving- we shared big hugs and said our goodbyes. I’m so thankful I spent that time with her.
I can’t imagine the heartbreak you all are feeling. God gained another ANGEL in heaven when he called this beautiful child home.

I worked closely with Elizabeth as a coach at Lighthouse and she became a dear friend to me. She mentored me as well as many other teachers with nothing but kindness, never judgement. She always spoke so highly of her mom and dad and loved you tremendously! Every time we went to the beach she asked me to bring her a seashell…and I did. I moved to another school in another district, but when I lost my sweet sister last year, Elizabeth sent a card to my school with her condolences…and always sent me messages saying she missed me. Her heart was immense for such a tiny little pink fairy who sprinkled her smile and her sparkle everywhere she went. Because I loved her so very much, her loss is felt deeply! Peace and love to all of her family!

She was truly an angel on earth and deserves her wings in Heaven. If you knew Elizabeth, then you were fortunate enough to have seen pure kindness and love!!! Mary Lou and Johnny, I am so sorry that I won’t be able to attend the service as I will be out of town for meetings. My prayers will be with you all!

My deepest sympathies to the Hall and Shock families. Elizabeth was a beautiful person both inside and out, the most kind and sweet friend I've ever had. I have so many fond memories with her from our birthday parties growing up, sleepovers (which usually she'd end up going home when it was time for bed), her love for Snuggles, cheering with her as a Blue Imp then a Blue Devil, to rooming with her our Freshman year of college. I will always cherish the memories we made. And I'm so thankful for the jewelry line she shared with me a couple years ago. Every month I receive my sparkle box, I will be reminded of Elizabeth and the sparkle and love that she brought to my life. There are many people that we meet in our lives but only a very few will make a lasting impression on our minds and hearts. Elizabeth was one of those friends to me.

My thoughts and prayers goes out to the family, staff, and scholars of Lighthouse School. I came in contact with Mrs. Shock every time that I visited Lighthouse School. She always had a compliment or a kind word to say. My grandchildren (Jerron, Zaniya, and Zakiya Devose) adored , Mrs. Shock. It is because of her they never wanted to miss after school tutoring when I came down from Pine Bluff. She was a jewel!! And truly will be missed.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Ms. Shock. She was a teacher at my child’s school and the past few years I had the pleasure of seeing her every day when dropping my child off to school. She was a very nice person and very engaging in conversation when I would see her. We would like to offer our sincerest condolences to her family, friends and to Jacksonville Lighthouse Academy staff and students.
