Oris ''Dale'' Carter of Parma, Arkansas died peacefully at the age of 93 years. He was born August 26, 1930 in Parma, Arkansas.
Dale was a Veteran of the US Air Force, where he served over four years.
Dale was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He spent seventy years of his life as a farmer raising cattle, chickens and goats. Dale was known for hard work, good short-horn cattle and keeping a beautiful abundant garden. He began his walk with the Lord in 1949 and instilled his wisdom to any listening ear. We pray his knowledge and faith is carried out for years to come. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include two brothers, Odel Carter of Star City, Arkansas, Noble Carter of Kansas City, Kansas; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Carter; his parents, Nodie and Fanny Carter; four sisters, Effie Varney, Opal Harness, Lois Carter and Ava Faye Benning and three brothers, Oran Carter, Clayton Carter and Doyle Ray Carter.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Clinton Cemetery, Clinton, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Easton Rushing, Paul Carter, Roger Carter, Austin Carter, Conner Carter and David Benning
Honorary Pallbearers are Whitney Carter, Holly Carter, Nicholas Carter, Kendra Rogers, Kenli Clark and Averi Rushing
Roller Coffman Funeral home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

I got a lot of enjoyment, visiting with Mr. Carter. At his home, he liked to talk of his childhood. As he went to school at Parma, who his friends was at school. And who he set with at lunch. As he set with his sister and my mom.(Clarice Everett) .they was older but let him have lunch by them. He talked of his brothers, sisters, dad, mother, who always had a good supper. Going to church at Brewer and Drasco. About going into the service, and as a religious man prayed to not have to take another mans life. We spoke mostly of the Lord, and quote scriptures from the Bible to each other. We had some good and lengthy visits. We sang Amazing Grace, at the end of our visit, followed by Prayer. Towards the end i visited and called him at the nursing home .He was ready to go Home. I will miss him dearly. But glad went to be with the Lord. Tears are filling my eyes now. Until we meet again, Dear Friend.

For nearly 50 years Dale was our neighbor and a friend. One of the most knowledgeable cattlemen I've ever know. A kind person to people and animals as well. Conversations with him will be missed.
