Maung Chit Aung, 64, a resident of Scranton, Arkansas, died Friday, April 12, 2024, in Paris, Arkansas.

He was born January 1, 1960, in Burma to Pau Leih and Bu La. Maung was a member of Clarksville Karen Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hartman. He worked as a farmer. He also enjoyed singing and playing instruments including the Karen Harp, reading his Bible and Sabbath school lessons, gardening, yard work and hunting. Maung's family will remember him as an energetic, hard worker who woke up early and worked hard every day. Most importantly, Maung was a kind and humble man who put his faith in God and his family first.

Maung was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, and a sister.

Survivors include his wife, Saw Kyi of Louisville, Kentucky; two sons, Than Nyunt Sein of Louisville and Tha Dah of Clarksville; three daughters, Misa Lay of Clarksville, Moo Ra Paw of Scranton and Ler Eh Paw of Tontitown; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Chit Thaw of Akron, Ohio and two sisters, Sar Rah of Smyrna, Tennessee and Naw Char of Burma.

Services will be held 12:00 p.m., Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Clarksville Karen Seventh Day Adventist Church, 9134 US Highway 64, Hartman, Arkansas 72840. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville.

My heart breaks for the family, I remember y'all first coming to Louisville and attending Grace Community Baptist Church. We got to know the family at that time, they made a lasting good impression... Thankful He is with Jesus, maybe he will meet my dad, he too was a farmer... Memories last forever!
